St. Joseph, the Patron Saint of Families and Guardian of Virtue
Karachi (Master Sabir Mushtaq): On Wednesday, 4th September 2024, Fr. Barnabas George inaugurated the novena devotion to St. Joseph at St. Michael Parish’s St. Joseph Catholic Church in Godhra Camp, Karachi. The ceremony began with soulful hymns and a healing prayer, followed by a Holy Mass led by Fr. Barnabas George.
In his homily, Fr. Barnabas emphasized that many people overlook the significance of St. Joseph in their Bible studies. However, St. Joseph is a powerful intercessor for families and guides them through challenging times. He is the patron saint of families.

He explained that the novena to St. Joseph enriches our Christian lives, spirituality, and priesthood. It unites all humanity, transcending boundaries and locations. He highlighted that St. Joseph is an exemplary father, husband, and protector – a faithful friend who supports us in our family struggles.
By praying the novena to St. Joseph, everyone can have this saint as their advocate and helper. After the novena prayer, Fr. Barnabas thanked all the groups and believers involved, particularly Master Shamsher Pervez, who worked tirelessly to prepare for the event.
