St. Luke’s Parish Celebrates Dedication of New Church

Karachi: On 23rd November 2024, Archbishop Benny Mario Travas dedicated and blessed the new St. Andrew Catholic Church at Saeedullah Goth, in the jurisdiction of St. Luke’s Parish, on Saturday, November 23, 2024.




The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Bishop Indrias Rahmat, Cardinal Joseph Coutts, Fr. Nazar Nawab, Fr. Arthur Charles, Fr. Asher Iftikhar, and sisters from the Holy Family, Daughters of St. Paul, and FMC.

The guests were welcomed with traditional Sindhi Pagris and garlands. The students of Catechism School presented a welcome song.

The Holy Mass began with the entrance hymn, followed by the dedication and blessing ceremony.

In his homily, Archbishop Benny encouraged the faithful to attend church services in large numbers and congratulated them on the new church. Fr. Khan Paulus, Parish Priest of St. Luke’s, thanked the guests and the Archbishop for their presence.

The dedication and blessing of the new St. Andrew Church marks a significant milestone for the Catholic community in Karachi. The new church will serve as a spiritual hub for the faithful, providing a sacred space for worship, prayer, and community building.
