PMS Team Inspires Children to Serve the Lord

Karachi (Raza Barkat): On June 8, 2024, the Pontifical Mission Society (PMS) team, led by Fr. Afzal Gulfam, visited the St. Teresa Catholic Church, Karachi under the jurisdiction of Good Shepherd Parish, Karachi.




The team was warmly welcomed by Parish Priest Fr. Asif Saleem and Sunday School teachers. The program began with prayer, gospel songs and a reading from the Holy Scripture.

Fr. Afzal Gulfam introduced the PMS team and spoke about the importance of mission and the role of the four Catholic societies, including the Holy Childhood Society. He emphasized that these societies work under the guidance of the Pope and are dedicated to serving the Lord. The team engaged with the Sunday School children, answering their questions and providing them with awards.

The event aimed to spread love, awareness, and the message of Jesus’ mission, emphasizing the importance of prayer and the Holy Spirit in our lives. Fr. Afzal Gulfam encouraged the children to become ambassadors of Christ’s love and to share the message of God’s love with others. He expressed his gratitude to Fr. Asif Saleem and the Sunday School teachers for their support and participation in the program.

The visit was a testament to the PMS team’s dedication to spreading the word of God and serving the community. The event concluded with a sense of joy, love and spiritual enrichment, inspiring the children to deepen their faith and share it with others.
