You must willingly offer yourselves for priesthood, Archbishop Shaw
Lahore (Br. Salman Manzoor): 58 young men attended the vocation seminar for diocesan priesthood at St. Mary’s Minor Seminary, Lahore on Sunday, 26 June 2022.The event “Come and See” was organized for the aspiring novice seminarians of Archdiocese of Lahore.
Fr. Naqash Azam, Rector of St. Mary’s Seminary presided over the Holy Mass while Fr. Adnan Rashid, Vice Rector of Seminary was the con-celebrant.

In his homily Fr. Adnan addressed the seminar attendees saying, “We all must recognize and contemplate on God’s call for our lives. Priesthood is an extraordinary call because it comes from God alone as an answer to our prayers. When a vocation has been filled in its true essence that too is a result of someone’s prayer”, he continued.

“So it is essential to understand that when we face problems in life, especially in priesthood, we must willingly come forth to resolve such dilemmas. Like a star shines at its brightest in the darkest hour so must we. Therefore, let us always submit saying ‘I am here Lord’ just as the prophet Isaiah. Dear brothers always use your gifts in the service of the church”, he ended.

In the end the seminar attendees were given a tour of the seminary. In St. John Vianney Hall, Fr. Naqash Azam, rector of seminary briefed them over a documentary of the establishment. After lunch was served His Grace blessed the entire assembly saying, “You must willingly offer yourselves for priesthood in order to witness God’s abundant blessings.”
