Faisalabad (Ijaz Bhatti): The Catholic Diocese of Faisalabad bids farewell to its most senior priest, Fr. James Archangelus, who passed away at the age of 91, leaving behind a legacy of dedicated service and devotion. His life was a testament to his unwavering commitment to his faith and community.
Requiem Mass and Funeral Rites
A Requiem Mass was held at Chak No. 10/4L, Antonyabad, Okara, led by His Excellency Bishop Dr. Indrias Rehmat, to honor Fr. James Archangelus’ life and legacy. The funeral rites were attended by a large gathering of clergy, including Fr. Abid Tanveer, Parish Priest of Antonyabad, priests from the Faisalabad and other dioceses, sisters, brothers, and faithful. Special prayers were offered for the departed soul, asking God to grant him eternal rest and comfort his loved ones and the Church.

Tribute from Fr. Arthur Charles
Fr. Arthur Charles, Parish Priest at St. Anthony’s Parish, Karachi, paid tribute to Fr. James Archangelus, saying:
“Fr. James Archangelus was a great Priest after the Heart of Jesus Christ and a Faithful Servant of the People of God. May His Soul Rest in Peace – Amen!”

Fr. James Archangelus’ 91 years were marked by his selfless service to the Lord and his people. His dedication to his faith and community will be deeply missed, but his legacy will continue to inspire and guide us.
