Even though the government had previously issued a statement that we must pay all government workers before March 27, 2020. FWM has paid the workers but only an insignificant salary of Rs.7000 (per worker). Since most waste workers are Christian, they are not only embracing the direct impact of the pandemic but are in anxiety as Easter is in the offing.

FWM has stated that the remaining salaries will be paid once the budget passes.
