Two Dominican Sisters Commit to Life of Service Forever
Faisalabad: 12th October 2024 was a joyful day for the Dominican Sisters of St. Catherine of Siena. The two sisters namely, Sr. M. Mafia Mohan Lal O.P. & Sir. M. Komal Ishaq O.P. made their perpetual profession of vows, placing her hands in the hands of Sr. Parveen Lal O.P., the congregation’s prioress general at Sts. Peter & Paul Cathedral, Faisalabad.
The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by His Excellency Bishop Indrias Rehmat, Bishop of Fasialabad and Very Rev. Fr. Pascal Polous, Vice Provincial of Ibn e Mariam, Province of Pakistan along with Dominican Friars. A large number of Dominic Sisters and the faithful were also attended the event.

In his homily, Bishop Indrias extended heartfelt congratulations to the Dominican congregation and parents & families of the sisters on this joyous occasion. He said that we should find strength in God, who has blessed us abundantly in all circumstances, empowering us to fulfill our calling and glorify His name.
“As Lord Jesus Christ commanded, “Love one another as I have loved you” (John 15:12). The ultimate expression of Jesus’ love is His selfless sacrifice on the cross. May this unwavering love inspire and guide our sisters in their commitment”, he added.
“Dear daughters, God’s mercy has chosen you for this sacred ministry. May Saint Dominic and Saint Catherine, patrons of our order, accompany and inspire you. Emulate their virtues, and may their faith and devotion strengthen you in the Lord’s name” he emphasized.
“As you dedicate your lives to God’s service, remember that your vows are a testament to His enduring love. May your profession be a source of joy, hope, and inspiration to all”, he concluded.
