Climate action for peace in the light of ‘Laudato Si’
The first week of October, St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Antoniabad-Okara parish celebrated a memorable Pilgrimage of our Holy Mother Mary and on the last day October 04, Bishop Indrias Rehmat presided over the mass.
Your Lordship bishop was warmly welcomed by parish committee and St. Anthony Girls High School principal, sisters, teachers and students.
During his homily he appreciated the efforts of the parish committee and St. Anthony Girls High School faculty, sisters and students. He reiterated the call of Pope Francis to build a new world, respectful of creation, leading to many initiatives within the Church. Green the World through trees ‘Laudato Si’ began in the parish as Bishop Indrias Rehmat planted saplings along with other priests in the Church compound.

The parish marks the saplings after Pope Francis, Cardinal Joseph Coutts, Bishop Indrias Rehmat and Fr. Tahir Aziz Parish Priest.
Pope Francis’ Encyclical Laudato Si is a worldwide wake up call to help humanity understand the destruction that man is rendering to the environment and his fellow man.
Antoniabad village, named after Saint Anthony, has about 500 farming Catholic families. Capuchin missionaries founded the village in 1913.
