Catholic Leaders Extend Greetings to Sikh Community on Guru Nanak’s Birthday
Nankana Sahib: In a heartwarming display of interfaith harmony, the Catholic Commission for Interreligious Dialogue and Ecumenism (CCID) under the Pakistan Catholic Bishops’ Conference, led by His Excellency Bishop Yousaf Sohan, Bishop of Multan, shared joy and greetings with the Sikh community on the auspicious occasion of Baba Guru Nanak’s birthday.
On November 15, 2024, Fr. Daniel Taj (Diocesan Director of Caritas Pakistan Multan), Mr. Samuel Clement (Executive Secretary of Caritas Pakistan Multan), Mr. Ambrose Gil (Organizational Development Manager of Caritas Pakistan Multan), and other representatives of the CCID met with Mr. Ramesh Singh Arora at Nankana Sahib. This significant gathering was to convey the heartfelt greetings from Bishop Yousaf Sohan to the Sikh community.
Fr. Daniel Taj and Mr. Samuel Clement expressed their best wishes to Mr. Ramesh Singh Arora and the Sikh community, distributing a message from the Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue from the Vatican to a large number of Sikh brothers and sisters. This gesture was warmly received by Mr. Ramesh Singh Arora, who expressed his gratitude to Bishop Sohan for fostering interfaith dialogue and sending a delegation to celebrate this special day.
