Faithful Gather for Bible Marathon 2025 in Sargodha
Sargodha: From March 31st to April 5th, 2025, the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Parish in Sargodha transformed into a sacred hub for the Bible Marathon 2025. This extraordinary event, meticulously organized under the leadership of Fr. David John and Fr. Ashir Tanveer, brought together the faithful for an immersive experience in the Word of God.
The grand opening ceremony commenced with a warm welcome for His Grace, Bishop Dr. Indriyas Rehmat. The atmosphere was electric as the faithful gathered to celebrate the start of this spiritual journey. A procession led by the bishop, accompanied by priests, religious sisters, and devoted parishioners, made its way to the grotto, where the Bible Marathon officially began.

In a unique and awe-inspiring moment, the central verse of the Bible was recited in 10 different languages, reflecting the universality of God’s Word and its reach across cultures and communities. This powerful gesture set the tone for the rest of the event, emphasizing the importance of unity and diversity in the body of Christ.
The celebration of the Holy Mass, presided over by Bishop Dr. Indriyas Rehmat, was a poignant reminder of the sacred nature of this event. The faithful gathered in the parish hall, united in prayer and thanksgiving, as they invoked the Holy Spirit’s guidance for all participants throughout the marathon.
The Bible reading commenced immediately after the Mass, with Bishop Dr. Indriyas Rehmat initiating the marathon by reading the first chapter of Genesis. Faithful participants took turns reading from Genesis to Revelation, embracing the sacred duty of proclaiming God’s Word without interruption. As the church resonated with the divine scriptures, the atmosphere was filled with devotion and reverence, strengthening the faith of all present. The Bible Marathon 2025 was a testament to the power of God’s Word, uniting the faithful in prayer, reflection, and thanksgiving.
