Archbishop Benny Dedicates Modernized Pediatric Ward to the Community
Karachi (Fr. Mario Rodrigues): On 25th September 2024, Archbishop Benny Mario Travas, Archbishop of Karachi inaugurated and blessed newly renovated Pediatric Ward at Holy Family Hospital, Karachi.
Fr. Mario Rodrigues (Principal, St. Patrick’s High School, and hospital board member), Mr. Jerom Andrades (donor), Dr. Marie Andrades (Medical Superintendent), Dr. Glinis D’Souza (Administrator), and hospital staff were also present on the occasion.

In addition to inaugurating six newly renovated rooms – including the Pediatric Ward, Baby General Ward, Isolation Room, Children’s General Ward, New Born Baby Nursery, and Day Care Children’s Ward – Archbishop Benny also inspected other wards at the facility and inquired about the well-being of the patients.
While talking on the occasion, the Archbishop emphasized the importance of serving humanity through quality healthcare during the inauguration of the renovated Pediatric Ward at Holy Family Hospital. He expressed his commitment to providing comprehensive care to all, regardless of faith or background.
The Archbishop praised the hospital’s dedicated staff and acknowledged the generous support of donors. He noted the increased capacity and upgraded facilities, ensuring more children receive expert care.
He stressed the Catholic Church’s mission to serve the marginalized and vulnerable, reflecting Jesus’ teachings. The Archbishop encouraged continued compassion and selflessness in healthcare
