Quetta Youth Come Together for Faith and Fellowship
Quetta (Farhan Lawrence): On September 21, 2024, the Diocesan Youth Commission, in collaboration with Don Bosco Quetta, organized a one-day ‘Youth Fellowship’ program titled “A Time to Pray, to Play & to Share” under the supervision of Diocesan Youth Director Quetta, Fr. Samuel Adnan Ghouri, SDB.
Ninety-six youth from all parishes of the Apostolic Vicariate of Quetta participated in the annual activity held at Caritas Hall, Bishop House Zargoon Road, Quetta. The Diocesan theme, “Youth Serving Youth,” was the central focus of the gathering.

Fr. Tahir Sattar led the opening prayer, while Mr. Arslan Rohail read the Word of God. Diocesan youth animators facilitated registration, and Youth Director Fr. Sami welcomed participants and special guest speaker His Excellency Bishop Khalid Rehmat, OFM Cap.
Bishop Khalid elaborated on the theme “The Role of Young People in the Synodal Church,” challenging youth to heed the Holy Father’s call to become active digital missionaries to their peers. He emphasized the immense responsibility youth bear in today’s Church.
Following lunch, Br. Francis, SDB, presented St. John Bosco’s “Dream At Nine,” highlighting its pivotal importance in the Congregation’s mission. Miss Maliha Tariq reported on the “Salesian Synod of Youth,” which she attended in August in Torino, Italy. A compilation book of dreams from 196 youth from 134 countries was introduced.
Fr. Sami conducted a survey through guided questions, seeking participants’ observations and opinions on Christian Family, Education, Youth Addiction, the Church, and Unemployment among youth in their respective areas and parishes.
The ‘Youth Fellowship’ concluded with evening prayer guided by Sr. Cynthia, CSJ, and a group photo to commemorate the day.
