We are assisting our people to regain stability, Bishop Indrias
Faisalabad: On April 30, 2024, a humanitarian aid distribution event was held at Bishop House, Railway Road, Faisalabad to support the victims of the Jaranwala tragedy. A total of 128 affected individuals received essential items for their daily needs, including cooking utensils, clothing, bedding, school bags and stationery for children, 15 rickshaws, and 13 motorcycles.
This aid was made possible through the generosity of the German Catholic organization ‘Church in Need’, and the victims expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Bishop Dr. Indrias Rehmat and ‘Church in Need Germany’ for their support.

Bishop Dr. Indrias Rehmat, in his address, emphasized the importance of solidarity and compassion in times of crisis. He said, “Since the day of the tragedy, we have been working tirelessly to provide food, shelter, and other essential needs to the affected people, as well as ensuring their legal aid and protection. We are committed to supporting our brothers and sisters in need, and we will continue to stand with them until they are back on their feet.”
Fr. Yaqoob Yousaf and Nasser Sohail, among others, also expressed their thoughts and condolences on the occasion. They praised the resilience and courage of the victims and reiterated their commitment to supporting them in their time of need.
This humanitarian effort is a testament to the compassion and solidarity of the community, and we continue to stand with the victims of Jaranwala incident in their time of need. We believe that together, we can make a difference and bring hope and healing to those affected by this tragedy.”
