Caritas has done splendor work to save the mother earth, Cardinal Joseph Coutts

Lahore (Naeem Naz): (November 21, 2019) Caritas Pakistan successfully completed One Million Tree Plantation Campaign to mitigate Climate Change in last four year (2016-2019). At this achievement of milestone, a colorful event was organized with church leaders, school children, members of civil society organizations, Government Officials, volunteers and staff from all over Pakistan. The distinguished guests planted trees and released balloons in the air at the successful completion of the campaign.




Volunteer and staff members shared their experiences during this campaign and they were awarded with appreciation shields in recognition of their dedicated services. His Eminence Cardinal Joseph Coutts admired the efforts of Caritas Pakistan in collaboration with different stakeholder for saving the mother earth which is the need of hour. His Grace Archbishop Sebastian Francis Shaw highlighted that Caritas is beautifully carried out his campaign in which they just not planted the trees but also created the awareness to love the nature. His Grace, Archbishop Joseph Arshad congratulated Caritas Pakistan for this initiative to contribute constructively for caring our common home. He wished the same enthusiasm in coming days.




His Lordship Bishop Benny Travas showed his determination that Caritas will continue this campaign in next four years for making our beloved country a Green Pakistan. Other guests also congratulated Caritas and extended their prayers for Caritas Pakistan and its staff.
Mr. Amjad Gulzar (National Executive Director – Caritas Pakistan) expressed his views that this campaign was turned into the movement and staff along with volunteers participated in this campaign with great passion. He extended his gratitude to all the partners at all levels of this campaign to make it successful.

One Million More Tree Plantation Campaign for next four years (2020-2023) was also inaugurated by the distinguished guests.
